Editorial declarations

Correction: Text has been checked and proof-read twice.

Normalization: The electronic text represents the edited text. In Meyer's edition, the acute accent and the macron are used to mark long vowels. Both are retained. Expansions are marked ex. The editor's corrections are marked corr sic="" resp="KM", with the erroneous form retained in the 'sic' attribute. Text in German is indicated. Names are capitalized in line with CELT practice.

Quotation: There are no quotations.

Hyphenation: Soft hyphens are silently removed. When a hyphenated word (hard or soft) crosses a page-break, this break is marked after completion of the hyphenated word.

Segmentation: div0=the saga; page-breaks are marked pb n="". Verse is treated as embedded text. Line-groups are marked lg; and mentrical lines l.

Interpretation: Names are not tagged, nor are terms for cultural and social roles. Such encoding is envisaged in a future edition.
