As amlaidh éimh ro bhuí Ēorann an tan-sin ar f-feis le Gūaire mac Conghaile meic Sgannláin, ar rob ī Ēorann fa bean do Shuibne {⬌}. Ro-sīacht trá Suibhne go n-ige an baile ina raibhe Ēorann. Do-dheachaidh Gúaire do sheilg an lā-sin {⬌}. Deisidh īarum an gheilt for furdhorus na boithe i raibhe Ēorann, conadh ann it-beart: “An cumhain leat, a inghean”, ar sé, “an grādh romhōr do-rad cách ūainn dá chéile an ionbhaidh ro bhámmar imur-áon? & is sūanach sādail duitsi”, ar sé, “& nī headh dhamh-sa”; conadh ann ad-beart Suibhne & ro fhreagair Éorann é:
