- A cholann chugat an bás,
tuig féin go bhfuil ann uathbhás;
ní dáil chosmhail nach cás lat
an bás san orsain agat. - Creid nach fada uait an t-éag;
bí a cholann ar do choimhéad;
ná creid don tsaoghal achd seal;
a thaobhadh dheid ní dlighthear. - Ós éigin duit dul i bhfad
féach id dhiaidh is féach romhad
féach faoibh is féach ós do chionn
féach ar gach taoibh id thimchioll. - Féach an óige iar n-imtheacht uaibh,
a chroinn an duille dhiombuain,
mór n-amhghar id chionn do chuir;
dar liom ní hadhbhar uabhair. - Imtheacht do chos lúth do lámh
féach do chéadfadha ar gclaochládh;
cuimhnigh ar dhoille na ndearc
