- Creidim mar chreideas an eaglais;
a fhir nach leanann lorg Dé,
seol do mheanmain go múr nimhe,
meabhraigh do rún cridhe an chré. - Do bhíodhbhaidh ó bheid 'gud leanmhain
go lá an bháis ní beag an ruaig
ar a roimhéad théid i dtarbha
ná léig coimhéad th'anma uaid. - Cré na n-asbal an t-iúl fíre
ar feadh do laoi ná léig thort;
maith an leigheas í ar an ainbhios,
is í cheileas t'aimhleas ort. - Gurab i n-aoinDia a-tá an Tríonóid
tuig, a dhuine, a-deir an chré;
creid uaim gurab í do riaghail,
ná bí ag buain re diamhair nDé. p.44 - I nDia Athar is eadh chreidim;
is cóir adhradh don iúl ghlan
más ál géarachadh an ghrádha
grádh m'éanAthar dála dhamh. - 'N-a dhiaidh do chruthuigh an chruinne,
do chum neamh gá neart as mhó?
a ndubhart do dhearbh an leabhar,
sealbh 'n-a chumhacht dleaghar dhó. - Creidim i n-éanmhac an Athar
Íosa Críosd ór ghein gach maith
go mbí re ngach duine dín-ne;
don uile is rí fíre an flaith. - Gabhais toircheas ón treas phearsain;
a pór na ngrás do ghein sé
gan fhear do bhuain ris an mbanóigh;
ní fuair bean anóir mar é. - Druim ar tosach tug re a chineadh
ar cóir nDé go ndeachaidh brat;
tug a aghaidh res an uile
an adhaigh rug Muire mac. - Fuair fa Phons Pioláid páis croiche,
cáin an chroinn do chúitigh sí;
gur íoc a bhás coir a chloinne
toil na ngrás do-roinne an Rí. - Do luigh san uaigh, do airg Ifreann,
do éirigh aisde an treas tráth;
dlighidh seadh do chur sa chreideamh,
a dhul ar neamh creideadh cách. - A Athair na n-uile chumhacht
ní ceannas nar chúitigh sé
an fáidh ag a bhfuil ar dtreise
do shuidh dod láimh dheis-se, a Dhé. - Béaraidh an lá bhias 'n-a bhreitheamh
breath na marbh is breath na mbeo;
gach neach le ngabhair a ghrása
raghaidh breath an lá-sa leo. - Creidim sa Sbiorad naomh neamhdha
do-ní inneall don iúl chlaon;
a ionad gomadh hé an cridhe
Sbiorad Dé nimhe na naomh. p.45 - An eaglas Chatoilgeach chreidim
cia agaibh nachar oil sí?
olc bean fa dalta do dhamnadh;
sreabh glanta na n-anman í. - {⬌} ceangladh cumann
a gcuing chrábhaidh ná cuir díot;
do-bhéara an flaith duid, a dhuine,
cuid dá maith uile 'n-a íoc. - Dá mbeath an aithrighe iomlán
ar mh'anmain ní fúigfeadh sal;
gabhar síodh ar son an pheacaidh
a chor dhíom ní deacair dhamh. - I bParrthas nó i bpianaibh Ifrinn
d'éis na breithe beid 'n-a ndís;
rachaidh fan anmain uair eile
truaill don talmhain reimhe a-rís. - Ní thuigid mar táid gá mealladh;
mairg do thréigfeadh teach na ngrás
ar sheal ngearr do ghlóir an bheatha;
do b'fhearr dhóibh beatha gan bhás. - Ós éigean dúinn dul i n-umhla,
d'éisteacht an cheoil a-tá thuas
leag do sheol, a fhir an uabhair;
ceol mar sin ní chualaidh cluas. - Do na lochtaibh nochar leigheas
i ló meadhaighthe mhóir Dé
ní céaltar an locht as lugha
corp dá ndéantar crumha is cré.
Cre. - Nír chreid riamh go raibhe an saoghal
San Froinnséis ler fuilngeadh broid
acht mar thuile ag teacht re fánaidh;
tearc duine crábhaidh do chroid.
Creidim.
