dar fhuiling rí an ríoghthoighe
tiocfa tráth as tuar toirse
gidh fuar cách sna cásaibh-se. - Fios báis a haoinmhic don óigh
mar thair tarngaire Simóin
fiu a dhoilghe do bhí fan mbás;
ní ní gan chuimhne an chéadchás. - An dara cás cruaidh an sdair
sé ar seachrán re trí tráthaibh
mar mhnaoi bhuile do bhí sain
Muire agus í dá iarraidh. - An treas cás do imthigh air
a fhios mar fhuair a mháthair
gné do athruigh dá haghaidh
gabhthair é le hÍobhalaibh. - Ar bhfaicsin Críost i gcruth bháis,
a ógh, ba adhbhar uathbháis
t'oidhre dod chomhair san chrann
