- Dia do bheatha-sa, a Mhuire;
fada tá do tharngaire
tú do thocht dar mbéin a braid
san bhféil a-nocht im Nodlaig. - Oidhche Nodlag naomhtha an ghein
do rugadhtú a rí an ríchidh,
a rí an bheatha as Dia damh-sa;
dia beatha mo bhráthar-sa. - Dia beatha mic do mháthar
fhóireas cách ón gcrónbhátadh;
rí an bheatha go mbí ar do thoil
dia a bheatha i gclí dar gcabhair. - Dia do bheatha ós dá reic ruibh
i ngeall red bhreith do bhábhair
id dhia, id dhuine, a chnú cridhe,
