    FEARGHAL ÓG MAC AN BHAIRD cct.

  1. Dlighe, a dhuine, déanamh lóin;
    éirghe amach go Sliabh Si-óin

    smuain ar t'eachtra gan iompádh.
  2. Eachtra bhaoghlach bhíos roithinn
    leat ní háil a hoirichill;
    do b'fhearr an chiall ceangal lóin
    's do ghealladh go Sliabh Si-óin.
  3. Dá lón as fhearr dot aithghin
    d'fhios an aonaigh anaithnidh
    an abhlonn rod chuir i gcéim
    's a hannlonn d'fhuil an fhíréin.
  4. Beir mar lón go Mac Muire

  5.  p.54
  6. Beir fós soillse leat mar lón;

    is iomdha gleann doirche dubh
    agus beann fhoirbhthe uathmhar.
  7. Ag toigheacht gus an tulaigh
    glóir an tighe thuas-amhain

  9. Do lucht éinleabtha is iad soin

    ná bir iad don aonach-so.
  10. Go comhdhál na gceasd ndeacair
    ná beir leat fiú an éinpheacaidh;

    bíodh do chridhe led choguas.
  11. Lúisifear an lá do-chuaidh
    go teaghdhais Ifirnn adhfhuair

  14. Mór an ghuais iomad na n-olc;

    i láimh i n-uamhaidh Iofoirn.
  15. Mé dá dhíol a-niodh go nua
    —mar sin bhias m'ua agus m'iarmhua
    mairg gaollucht dan séala sain—

  16.  p.55
  17. Do-ním tráth iomarcaidh olc,

  18. Dá nglanainn go hannamh inn
