    cúis a hadhanta fhuair sí;
    ní thig lá nach iomdha a hadhbhar
    más diomdha tá ar adhnadh í.

    an t-aingeal do b'áilne gné,
    do thuill mo-nuar fheirg ón Athair;
    níor theilg uadh gan fhachain é.
