- Mairg nach doirteann a dhéara
cioth déar do dhruim aithmhéala
do bháidhfeadh diomdha an té as triar;
do ba diongna é d'aimhríar. - Do dhearbhadh ar dhéaraibh Póil
san tigh thuas gur thuill onóir
fuair a thoil ó thriath nimhe;
ag soin fiach a aithrighe. - Treall dá aimsir—anba an choir—
do bhí Pól, posd an chrábhaidh,
—ní hiúl é ag nach aghair fréamh—
i n-aghaidh Dé 's a dheibhléan. - Beantar dhé lá do na láibh
an éaraic uile anbháil
a amharc mar badh dual dó;
a radharc uadh do éaló. - Pól easbal ag iarraidh grás
