  2. A chroch Dé, do dhlighis cádhas
    ó chloinn Ádhaimh athair cáich;
    is mor mac gcionntach ro ceannghadh
    lat, a fhiortach bheannghlan bhláith.
  3. Peacaidh na cruinne do cheannchais
    a chroch ghrádhach—gasda an ruaig;
    tugais cobhair, a chroinn ghrádhaigh,
    do chloinn cholaigh Ádhaimh uaid.
  4. Inneosad duit diamhair nimhe,
    ní dá sgéalaibh, sgéal go nós;
    do-chluinfe Rí gealchas gréine
    ní dá sheanchas féine fós.
  5. Do-rinne cathraigh n-aird n-aoibhinn
    Athair na slógh, Saor na gclann,
    'n-a léibheann úr ghlan gan ghairbhe
    gur ghabh tnúdh na haingle ann.
