Whole text
- Ní díol grádha gleann na ndeor
ná lean a chádhas go cian;
cia an dúil nar ghortuigh go géar?
dúinn is léan a rochtain riamh. - Ná cluintear fíoch feasda fúibh
a shíol Eabha, a fhuigheal áir;
do-chím-se nach teann bhar dtóir;
gleann an bhróin an tír-se i dtáir. - Gleann na ndéar an talamh trom,
do ghréas nochan antar ann,
dá lár is soibheirthe sionn,
is crádh liom m'oilithre ann. - Fan lucht toice fhuil san úr
toirrse ní fhuil ar a n-ór;
beag bhar ngaol re gleann na ndéar,
a dhream do fhéagh an raon róm. - Fa chloich ó do-chuaidh do chlí
ní fhoil groigh ná cuaich dod chaoi;
ní libh dod chrodh acht an chré,
a fhir a-né ar ndol fa dhlaoi. p.138 - A fhir dar bh'earradh an t-ór,
ní libh d'earradh acht an uagh;
san tír dar ghoire do ghrádh
lámh ag rígh oile mon-uar. - Mac Muire nar an fa fhád
don chruinne ná car acht súd;
níor leat do chríoch áluinn óg,
ní bhíoth acht fód fábhuill fúd. - Do-chuaidh d'fhuil Ádhaimh fa úr,
iar 'n-a ghuin tánaig i dtréan;
is fiú a ghaolmhaith drud 'n-a dhál;
tug grádh do naomhfhlaith na néall. - Ní théid ar a dhiadhacht dlaoi;
ná tréig ar an iasacht hé,
flaith as fhearr fan uile ní,
rí ar ar fheall an chruinne ché. - Tiad na toirthe mar théid clú,
ná tréig an Coimdhe ar cheo;
táinig mar chiaigh tre chlí mná;
biaidh mar tá mar do bhí beo. - Tuille grás nach téid i dtrágh
ná tréig do ghnáth Muire mhór
earla fionn as daingean dún,
mionn súl na n-aingeal 's na n-ógh. - Ar n-eochair, ar n-eite lúidh,
red bheathaidh seice ná sín:
bheith ar a tí tug dot óidh
's í 'n-a hóigh agus rug rígh. - Ná tréig Muire Máthair Dé,
táthaigh a croidhe red chlí;
ná gabh mearbhall tar an mnaoi
saoi glan as neamhghann im ní.
Ní. - Peadar easbal do b'úr dlaoi
ag túr na beathadh do bhí;
tug a chaolchorp fa chuing nDé
do thuill sé ar naomhthacht gach ní.
