  1. Ort do sheiseacht, a shaoghail,
    a sgian tana thollfhaobhair;
    a ghille 's a lúb 'n-a láimh,
    ag súd inn-ne dot fhágbháil.
  2. Mithid damh céim seachad sair,
    a sheanóir dhoill, a dhomhain;
    do budh turchar dhamh, a dhuill,
    urchar do chur lem choluinn.
  3. Do budh codladh ar chlúimh thé
    gan iompódh riot a-ríse;
    uch, a thruagh, más eadh as áil
    seal uabh agus gan t'fhágbháil.
  4. Seal 'san slighe dhíomhaoin damh,
    seal 'san saoghal dom shalchadh,
    seal san lathaigh, loighe an doill,
    athaidh oile san abhoinn.
  5. Ruaig agam d'iarraidh nimhe,
    ruaig i measg mo mhuinntire—
    tuig trá nach deighcridhe dhamh
    an dá eitrighe d'adhradh.

    mallacht ort gach fhir chumuinn;
    go bhfagha shár it sheise,

  9. Gé taoi ar mo thí, a thruagháin thruaigh,

    mór an ceannach deaghóir dhamh
    seanóir meangach do mholadh.
  10. Is tú an giolla fionn fallsa,
    riot do-chuaidh an cholann-sa;
    ní tú, a dhalláin a dhomhain,
    an chnú fhalláin fhoghamhair.
  11. Is tú an tsadh mheabhlach mheangach,
    is tú an bheithir bhéimeannach,
    tú an aithir sheang, a sheise,
    is ceann aithigh uirrei-se.
  12. Do chuiris díot a-dearair
    cúig dhíne do dhíneadhaibh;
    ní fhuil tú acht id chuaille chuir
    ar bhrú na huaighe, a ánruidh.
  13. A ánruidh thruaigh, tomhais dúin
    gá fuil do-chuaidh fad chéadúir;
    sloinn go fíor, a bhréagaigh bhrais,
    gá céadfhuil ríogh do fhromhais.
  14. Fuil Aibéil mheic Ádhaimh fhinn
    dí do chorcrais do chéidrinn;
    a bhrais bhréagaigh, is sí sain
    céadfhuil do bhí ar do bhéalaibh.
  15. Fuil Críosd do-chuaidh fad bhruinne,
    móide t'imshníomh oruinn-ne;
    ceann fat iris níor dhluigh dhamh
