    mar íoc im olcaibh mar chrádh
    nó bheith bocht do réir mo ríogh
    díol a locht ní léir dá lán.
  4. A uan fionn do fhás ón óigh,
    uad i ngioll red ghrás a-táim;
    asad gan bhréig fa dú dóigh;
    is tú an ghlóir nach téid i dtráigh.
  5. Red thocht i dtionól an Luain
    an chroch 's an choróin red thaoibh
    tiocfa sé 'n-a shochar dhúinn
    dúil don rothal, a Dé, dhaoibh.
  6. Ní fhuil ag neach grádh dá ghaol
    —uch! ní neamh a-tám do thúr;
    ar dtréidhe mo-nuar is nár;
    grádh dá chéile badh dual dún.
  7. Go dtí so gan doilgheas daoibh

    suas don deaghbhragh, a shiur shéimh,
