gearr go dtiocfa teachtaire
—is iongnadh leam créad do char—
ar do cheann ón éag uathmhar. - Muna choisge tú do thal
dod chraos dot fheirg dot uabhar
gearr go mbia cosg ón éag ort;
féag ar do rosg gan radharc. - Ní hadhbhar díomais duid-se
do mheirbhe is do mhíothuigse,
's bheith dod chorp ó chéill ag dol
is th'fholt go léir ar liathadh. - Do mheanma mhear achd gér mhór
do-chím í uaibh ar gclaochlódh;
is tearc tuile nach téid as;
tréig, a dhuine, do dhíomas. - Neart do lámh ar aird ní fhuil;
do leath a lúth fad chosaibh;
