    dual dá ollamh a urruim.

    re hucht fheirge a ollamhan
    —gealaidh snuadh dubhlachta dháibh—
    is tuar umhlachta d'fhagháil.

    urraim airdríogh d'ollamhnaibh;
    an tsíon ón fhoighide as fhearr,
    gloinide síodh is soineann.

    tug mar do arduigh mh'inntinn;
    neart an dá fhíon it ollamh
    gníomh nar chleacht ar chéadlongadh.
  10. Niam ciontach red chéibh ndrolaigh
    fa a ndubhairt mé, a Mháthghamhain,
    dámadh gníomh mh'fhearg-sa—is ní headh—
    acht t'fhíon dearg-sa is do dháileamh.
  11. Gach easurraim dar fhéad sinn
    duit, a Í Bhriain ó Bhoirinn,
    tug mé acht gan mé dod bhualadh;
    fa drud é re hanuabhar.
  12. Níor choigleas, a chiabh na ndrong,
    tu-sa—níor theangmháil chomhthrom;
    tú rom choigil-se, a ghruadh glan,
    a sduadh bhoiginnse Breatan.
  13. Buinne luath lasrach mire
    ná néal gréine goirtighe;
    loisgnighe m'fhearg—do bh'fhearg mhear—
    gur shearg t'fhoisdine mh'aigneadh.

    tu-sa áiseach urramach,
    ar dteagmháil, a shlat Shligigh,

    agad, a mheic Muircheartaigh,
    an bhreath chumainn as cubhaidh,
    is t'urraim dot ollumhain.
  23. Urraim ót fhilidh d'fhagháil
    do budh ei-séin t'easonáir;
    t'anóir, a bhile Bhanbha,
    t'fhile d'fhagháil th'urrama.
  24. A-déar riot, a rí Bhanba;
    "do-fheadar iocht Mathghamhna;
    ní fhúigfeadh mé a ghualainn ngil,
    dá mbualainn é mun aim-sin."
