    do-ní—ghá deacra díbhearg—
    ag breith chéime ar a conair
    déine eich gan arodhain.

    déine ná rioth réalluinne;
    deirge ná drithle gan smál
    crithre na feirge ar bhfadádh.
  3. Ionann a n-airdheanna sin
    —ní horam-sa nar imthigh—
    neach nach gabhann ar a ghuth
    each ga mbloghann a béalbhach.
  4. Fearg ar bhfagháil a sboraidh
    mar bhíos each gan arodhain
    tarla rinn 'n-a tonnghoil te
    sinn ag comhghoil re chéile.
