    TADHG MAC DÁIRE MAC BRUAIDEADHA cct.

  1. Fóiridh mo leisge, a Leath Chuinn,

    an leisge labharthar linn
    leisge ón hanathlamh mh'intinn.
  2. Tugabhair adhbhar aoire
    dúinn—is damhna éagcaoine;

    neimhéasgaidh inn fa aoruibh.
  3. Do creachadh gion gur chead ribh
    sinn re dreim dá bhar ndaoinibh;

    bacadh ní fhuil ar mh'aiseag.
  4. Leasg liom uaisle Gaoidheal nglan
    d'imdheargadh uaim nó d'aoradh;
    's is leasg maitheamh mo mhasla
    nó go n-aithear m'adhbhar-sa.
  5. Do-bhéar an chairde as dual damh;
    do-rinne mé bhar moladh;
    ag so an breacadh san bhagar
    bhar bhfeacadh má fuaradar.
  6. Troisgfead oruibh as a haithle
    mar tá ag éigsibh ordaighthe;
    do-ghéan trá romhoille ruibh
    mar tá oruinn-ne d'fhiachaibh.
  7. Tar ceann mo leisge, a Leath Chuinn,
    fa dheoidh dá ndeachadh thoruinn
    gid bé neamhfhaomhadh do-near
    bhar ndeaghaoradh a dheireadh.
  8. Dá sgaoiltí aonrann don aoir
    fa chách—ní cluiche díomhaoin—
    ní bhiadh neart anacail air;
    radhacair teacht óm theangaidh.
  9. An gcéin mhéaras Gaoidhealg ghlic
    mar ghlóir i n-Éirinn orrdhreic
    biaidh a gcanfuim-ne ar chuimhne;

  10.  p.315
  11. Mar sgaoilid crithre a ceardcha
    dh'iarann d'éis a dheighdheargtha

  12. Ní bháidhfeadh Búill mhear ná Muaidh
