  1. Ní dhlighim aithfear ar fheirg;
    toil liom ar las dá díbheirg;
    níor chuir sí i n-aithmhéile inn
    ní asan aithréidhe mh'intinn.
  2. Do-rinneas—do-rinneadh rinn—
    fearg nach aithreach rem intinn;
    ní caigealta a chor i mbríogh,
    gomh ar n-aigeanta ar n-eissíodh.
  3. Ní cúis nach beartha a bhuidhe
    m'fhíoch-sa is fíoch fir ionmhuine;
    a ndéabhradh leam agus leis
    is téarnamh i gceann cairdeis.
  4. Maith séan dar síoladh an fhearg
    eadrom is mac mhic Risdeard;
    tonn éagbháthaidh í ar ar ndoirr
    is í ar gcéadmháthair chumoinn.
  5. D'Uilliog a Búrc níor bheag liom
    bheith dó mar chách go coitchionn
    gur chomhlas mar chrithir dte
    domlas fichidh ar bhfeirge.
  6. Do-bheirim mo bheannacht dí;
    táinig do thaoibh na goimhe
    dul i n-ainm rónadhmuidh ruinn
    do bhaidhbh órarmaigh Umhaill.

    dí thárrthus togha compáin;
    gríos fheirge as uaibhrighe bruth
    feirrde luaimnighe a lasrach.
