coiléan ciuin cruadhbhánaltach;
is tuar clú a hoirbhearta áigh
cú bhus oirrdhearca n-iomráidh. - Iomdha cáil inar chóir geall
don cheannphurt-sain con n-Éireann;
barr clú ní diommoltair dhi
an cú im fhionnochtaibh Éirne. - Mac Ioldathaigh na n-arm nocht,
fuair do chú-sa, a Chú Chonnacht,
ainm agus a clú re a cois,
an cú gidh airm i n-uarais. - Uasal an treabh dá dtá sin;
is mac Ábhartach d'Fhinngil;
