- Uaigneach a-taoi, a theach na mbráthar,
beag dod bhuidhnibh tairise
do-chí tu-sa i ndáil do dhorchla;
ní náir orchra ar th'airei-se. - Do díbreadh uait—uch mo thruaighe—
do theaghlach bocht bráithreamhail;
do-chím sibh gan fhear dot ionnramh,
a threabh bhionnghlan bhláithshleamhain. - Ionmhuin drong do díbreadh asat,
a eaglas bhláith bhúidhiodhan,
buidhean tromdha chomhthrom chiallda,
modhchlann diadha an Dúiliomhan. - A mhainisdear an mhúir shleasaigh
sloinntear ó Sliabh Fhorannáin,
caoinidh an flaith 's an saoi suilbhir
mar taoi it fhuilngidh anfhorráin. - Fuarais cleachtadh céile n-iodhan,
a adhbha an fhuinn ghlaintealchaigh;
bheith it aonar níor dhual deit-se;
truagh do bheith-se id bhaintreabhthaigh. - D'éis na gcéile do chleacht tu-sa
