3 seang-ghlac atú do thogha,
4 ní tú deagh-mhac Donnchadha. - 5 Ní thréicfea, da madh tú soin,
6 do ghruag ar ghalldacht thacair—
7 maisi as fhearr fá fhíadh bhFódla—
8 'sní bhíadh do cheann corónda. - 9 Ní modh leatsa an barr buidhe;
10 fuath leision na locuidhe,
11 is bheith maol ar ghrés na nGall—
12 bhar mbés ar-aon ní hionann. - 13 Fear nár ghrádhaigh an ghalldacht
14 Eóghan Bán, searc saor-bhanntracht,
15 don ghalldacht ní thug a thoil,
16 an alltacht rug do roghain. - 17 Ní bhean th'aigneadh d'Eóghan Bhán,
18 do-bhéradh brísdi ar bhegán,
19 fear nár iarr do chlóca acht ceirt,
