ar amus innsi Gáoidheal,
déna mar aderam ruibh
ar senfhonn frémha Fíachaidh. - Gluaisidh reamhuibh tar Muir Meann
ar amus Uilliam Nuinnseann:
triall ar céilidhe 'na cheann,
ar ccéiline d'íath Éireann. - Innis uaimsi dá ucht slim
an ceó tuirrsi atá ar m'inntinn:
nocht cúis m'imnidh dá aithle
dá ghnúis tibhrigh thonnghairthe. - Doighthe cuartaighthe croidhe
mo lucht gáoil, m'aos ionmhuine:
na caraid dár threisi ar dtoil,
