    mór cumthair dona brégaibh—
    dá maradh ní bheith choidhche
    lá go n-oidhche inar n-égmais.

    do bhíoth daoine uaisle oile;
    ag techt chugainn is chugainn
    do bhíoth m'fher cumainn croidhe.

    ón mbás-soin dá ttí an cogadh?
    fa meinic laodh mo chroidhe
    ós cenn m'fhine dá cosnamh.
