- Tríall, a reacaire, reac m'fhuighle,
imthigh go grod, ná gabh sgís
gan dol d'fhéaghain chinn ar ccoimhghe:
fill ré sgéulaibh oirne arís. - Beir leat úaim go hoighre Domhnaill
díoghrais bríathar a mbía brígh:
tabhair aghaidh a ttáoibh thola
ar chráoibh taraidh fhola hÚr. - Aithin meisi do Mhac Carthaigh,
ná ceil air a n-abair mé:
mo bheith mar tám cuir 'na chlúasoibh,
as nár dá fhuil úasail é. - Ba ná capuill, ór ná airgiod,
ní fhuil agam, innis só:
labhair agus déana deinmne,
