Normalization: The electronic text represents the edited text. In Meyer's edition, the acute accent and the macron are used to mark long vowels. Both are retained. Editorial corrections and expansions are marked. Text in German/Latin/Greek/Hebrew is indicated. Names are capitalized in line with CELT practice.

Quotation: There are no quotations.

Hyphenation: Soft hyphens are silently removed. When a hyphenated word (hard or soft) crosses a page-break, this break is marked after completion of the hyphenated word.

Segmentation: div0=the poem. Page-breaks are marked pb n="". Metrical lines and quatrains are marked. Words in languages other than Irish are marked.

Interpretation: Names are not tagged, nor are terms for cultural and social roles.
