GeneralContext East Cross, west view, top of the cross.
Location In the churchyard at Bakewell.
Dimensions 8' high, by 21'' wide, and 15'' thick.
GeneralDescription East Cross, west view.
GeneralDescription This cross is dated to the late eighth century.
GeneralDescription The western face of the cross had four panels, one above the other.
GeneralDescription The remaining portion of the upper panel is a Crucifixion scene.
GeneralDescription Below that the Annunciation is thought to be represented.
GeneralDescription The next panel has a figure with a rod. The lower one is very difficult to make out.
