Location church at Breedon.
GeneralDescription This is the central fragment on a wall panel, at the east end of the south aisle. This is dated to the early ninth century.
GeneralDescription It is suggested that this figure is Mary. This figure is set in an architectural frame of a double arch supported on cushion-like capitals and bases. The head is draped in a veil and does not have a halo. She is holding her right hand in blessing and is holding a book in her left.
