GeneralContext Cross, west face, detail on shaft.
Location churchyard at Eyam.
Dimensions 8'3'' high, 20'' wide and 15'' thick tapering slightly. The arms are 3'3'' across.
GeneralDescription Cross, dated to eighth century.
GeneralDescription This is the west face of the cross. The lower panel, above the interlace, may represent Christ in glory, or it is possibly one of the prophets (Hawkes).
GeneralDescription The panel at the top of the shaft may represent the Blessed Virgin Mary (Hawkes).
