Biography

For updated list of publications visit our website www.acmelab.science the below is not updated. My background is in experimental Cognitive Psychology across the lifespan and in particular in ageing. I am interested in the association between perception/cognition, physical exercise and falls, as well in investigating of the relationship between the environment we live in and perceptual/cognitive processing for the long term purpose of informing rehabilitation strategies.
I am also interested in coaching to foster healthy lifestyle and enhance cognitive performance. 
I am currently collaborating with The Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing (TILDA) at TCD on the epidemiology of multi-sensory processing. I am adjunct assistant professor at trinity College Dublin;
co-coordinator of the ISS21 Ageing Cluster, member of the Environmental Research Institute and member of the Mercer Institute for Successful Ageing (MISA). I coordinate 3rd year in the BA in Applied Psychology CK120.
I am member of the Editorial Board of International Review of Sport and Exercise, and Frontiers in Human Neuroscience and I served as ad hoc reviewer for many international journals including Cortex, Neuropsychologia, Cognition, Experimental Ageing Research and Cognitive Neuroscience. My current research is funded by the IRC, the HRB and SFI.‍
