Conor's PhD research, funded by the Irish Research Council, examined the nature of risk, responsibility, and power within Ireland’s financial services, focusing on the evolution of consumer protection regulations before, during, and after the financial crisis of 2008.
My research includes qualitative and quantitative analysis of regulatory policy and its effect, particularly in the context of financial regulations and personal debt in Ireland.
Recent research projects have included (1) quantitative research methods to understand the current and future housing needs of people living on Ireland’s islands and (2) reviewing educational and research related materials related to science outreach activities and evaluating these through qualitative and quantitative social research analyses.
