Research Interests

My Phd research field has been in Irish military history with particular reference to UN peacekeeping, and I continue to teach in this field

A significant portion of my research is devoted to the scholarship of teaching and learning in in History and in Digital Humanities. My recent papers are on gaming in history education, and in the use of asynchronous online discussion tools to support learning.
