This includes: including the organisation of company archives, the production of a book on the history of the brewery (The Murphy’s Story: the history of Lady’s Well Brewery Cork, with Diarmuid O Drisceoil), and ancillary material (website, brochures, calendar, etc.); the transfer of the company archive to the Boole Library Archives, UCC in 2000; ongoing meetings with advertising agencies re historical dimension; preparation of colour supplement on the brewery and its history in June 2006 for the Irish Examiner. Advisor to Cork Opera House Education and Outreach programme on the historical play, Lifeboat. The play, which centres on the wartime experiences of two young girls, had a highly successful run at the Half Moon Theatre in May 2006, attended by many school groups from Cork city and county. I helped in the production of a learning pack which dealt with Ireland during the Emergency and helped organise a post-performance question-and-answer session.
