Research Profile

Biography


Dr. Catherine Kavanagh is a Lecturer in Economics at UCC and received her PhD from the University of Aberdeen. Her research areas include: the distribution of income, measures of economic and social progress, labour market policies, and the skills and qualifications of workers. Dr. Kavanagh is the Programme Director of the MSc in Business Economics in the School of Economics. She was formerly Manager of the Government appointed group, the Expert Group on Future Skills Needs and is a former member of the Council of the National Centre for Performance and Partnership. She is currently a member of the Academic Council of Social Justice Ireland.
