Research Profile

Biography

Lisa is a lecturer in the School of Economics in UCC and is a member of the Institute for Business Development and Competitiveness. Lisa holds a BA (Hons) in Economics and Irish, an MA(Economics) and a PhD (Economics) from UCC. Her Phd research was based on the effects of agglomeration economies on the productivity of Irish local units.
Lisa teaches a broad variety of modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, including data analysis, quantitative methods, research methods, business economics and macroeconomics.
Lisa is currently undertaking research into the effects of agglomeration economies on firm productivity in Ireland and is also involved in a product space analysis of Ireland. This research has been presented at national and international conferences.
Lisa is programme director for the BSc(Hons) Financial Economics programme and co-director of the BSc(Hons) Business and Financial Economics Programme.
 

Research Interests

Productivty - Lisa has undertaken research into the determinants or regional labour productivity in the UK and is currently undertaking research into the effects of agglomeration economies on firm productivity in Ireland.

The Product Space - Along with colleagues, Lisa is analysing the country and sectoral level product space for Ireland. This research has been presented at international conferences.
