Outreach Activities

 Description

¨     Contributed to the Garda Diversion Review Group, 2016-2017.  Attended meetings of the Garda Review Group, and contributed to discussions around recommendations to be made on review of the Diversion Programme.  Contributed to the writing of the report produced by the Group.

¨     Researcher, Child Law Clinic, UCC – undertake legal research work on legal issues affecting children, and contribute to the preparation of legal advices and briefs

¨     Co-ordinated research visit of Masters students from the University of Leiden in June 2016 to Dublin to study children’s rights and youth justice.  Arranged and facilitated visits by the students to Gardaí, to the Children Court, and to Oberstown Campus.  Delivered guest lecture to students during their visit on the Irish youth justice system

¨     Sat as Student Representative on the LLM (Child and Family Law) College Programme Approval Committee in 2014

¨     Participated in various open days for prospective students, providing the student perspective and other relevant information to potential future students
