Biography
Dr Eimear Moroney presently lectures Law of Evidence. Eimear is a graduate of University College Cork, achieving First Class Honours in both BCL and LLM (Criminal Justice) degrees. In 2019, she successfully defended her PhD, entitled “Science, Law and the Administration of Justice in Irish Criminal Process: Expectations, Role and Disconnect”. Eimear was awarded a Law Graduate School Fellowship, the President James Slattery Medal and Prize in Law and a Faculty of Law PhD Scholarship, before receiving an Irish Research Council Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship to fund her doctoral studies. Upon completion, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher engaging in a project which examines the Law of Evidence in Ireland.
Concurrent with her doctoral research, Eimear has both tutored and lectured in the Law of Property, whilst through her employment as a Research Assistant, Eimear's research horizons have expanded to encompass Property Law, Equity & Trusts and Narrative Theory.
Research Interests
Research Interests: Criminal Justice, Criminal Law, Evidence, Law and Society, Law relating to Prostitution and Sex Trafficking.
Additionally, stemming from her work both as a Research Assistant and lecturing/tutoring, Eimear takes an academic interest in recent developments and the inherent complexities surrounding the Law of Property and Equity & Trusts.

Teaching Interests
Eimear is presently lecturing Law of Evidence. Eimear commenced tutoring Law of Property modules in 2013, additionally delivering lectures during the 2015-2016 academic term.
