Anne Neylon is a PhD student at Centre for Human Rights and Criminal Justice at University College Cork. She holds a BCL from NUI Galway and a first class honours LL.M from UCC. Her PhD thesis examines the tools utilised by the UK, Canada and the EU to suspend access to a durable residence status for refugees. In 2011 she was a visiting doctoral student at University of Toronto and Université de Montréal. Her research in Canada was funded by the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs "Understanding Canada" programme. She was also previously a visiting study fellow at the Refugee Studies Centre at the University of Oxford. Her research interests are in EU law, human rights law, and immigration and asylum law.
