Biography:

Dr Conor O'Mahony is a graduate of UCC (BCL 2001, LLM 2002, PGCTLHE 2009) and the University of Wales, Aberystwyth (PhD, 2005). He has lectured in constitutional law in UCC since 2005, and is currently the Director of Graduate Studies in the Faculty. His research interests lie broadly in the areas of constitutional law and child law with a particular focus on constitutional interpretation, educational rights, special educational needs and children's rights. He is the author of Educational Rights in Irish Law (Thomson Round Hall, 2006) and has published numerous articles in such international journals as the International Journal of Constitutional Law, the International Journal of Law, Policy and the FamilyPublic Law and the Child and Family Law Quarterly, as well as Irish journals such as the Irish Jurist, the Dublin University Law Journal and the Irish Journal of Legal Studies. He has delivered papers at conferences in Ireland, the UK, the US, Turkey, Canada and South Africa and contributes regularly to analysis in the national media.
