Biography:

Completed a Dip in Marine & Plant Engineering

Marine Engineer with British Petroleum (Oil & Energy industry ) involved design, construction, installation, operation and support of the systems and equipment which propel and control marine vehicles, and of the systems which make a vehicle or structure habitable for crew, passengers and cargo. Involved in the operation and maintenance of the propulsion and other systems such as: electrical power generation plant; lighting; air conditioning; refrigeration; and water systems. Involved in the transportation of hazardous cargo, such as Petroleum products, Liquefied natural gas (LNG).



Completed a Degree in Software engineering



I was employee #5 at VMware's ( (NYSE: VMW) a leader in virtualization and cloud infrastructure)  International office in Cork, Ireland back in 2005. Primary role was as a Technical Support engineer which involved handling issues from VMware customers in EMEA. Another part of this role was building up the VMware support centre in Cork through interviewing candidates and mentoring new-hires.



Areas of specialization include virtualization, cloud, Storage Area networks (SAN), Networking Linux or UNIX, LAN/WAN, kernel (Linux) and registry(Windows) configuration and debugging. Trouble-shooting hardware related issues, 3rd party application integration. Operating system support, Performance troubleshooting, ESX Server and/or Virtual Center and VMware Workstation and GSX Server,  SQL query language ,SQL Server or Oracle dB (DBA), Remote Access Trouble-shooting, SAN Multipathing, Linux command-line skills and shell scripting and programming, customization of Windows and/or Linux operating systems
