Talent management broadly refers to identifying, developing, retaining, and deploying talent. Specifically, it considers a set of routines (talent pools, pivotal positions, a differentiated HR architecture) which can lead to a strong talent pipeline and competitive advantage. My research focuses on how MNEs conceptualise talent, identify talent in practice, and manage their talent globally.
Global work is an increasingly common phenomenon in MNEs. My research focuses on global staffing and flexible global working arrangements. It highlights the potential value of such work but also reflects on challenges faced by flexible global workers and MNEs. It explores more strategic and sustainable approaches to managing global work to maximise value creation and mitigate risks.
