Elaine Walsh

Biography

Elaine Walsh is  a General Practitioner (GP) in clinical practice in Cork city and a lecturer in the Department of General Practice in University College Cork. She is a graduate of  UCC and the South East GP training scheme. She holds a degree in Pharmacology and was awarded a PhD in 2019. Her research interests are appropriate prescribing, medication error and medical education. Her PhD focused on the costs, causes and consequences of medication error at the interface of primary and secondary care.
