Research Profile

Nuala Walshe

Biography

Research Interests

My primary area of interest relates to simulation-based learning and research to understand how simulation can most effectively be leveraged to optimise learning outcomes.
I have a specific interests in mastery/proficiency based teaching and learning approaches, the integrative use of problem-based learning and simulation, patient deterioration and non-technical skills  with a focus  on situation awareness and communication during the escalation of care. I have also been involved in a European collaboration exploring how diversity is reflected in simulation-based learning opportunities.
