Lauren is currently working as Research Support Officer at the Cleaner Production Promotion Unit in UCC, which she joined in 2019. A natural scientist by training, Lauren's work was initially focused on an initiative to quantify, and start a process towards reducing, the university's climate impact (B&EO, 2019-20). More recently she has being providing research support and undertaking research across a number of projects, particularly contributing to the REALISE (H2020, 2020-23) and ACCEPT (H2020, 2021-24) and EnergyMeasures (H2020, 2020-23) projects.
Biography
Lauren earned her BSc in Environmental Science at UCC, spending her third year of study at the University of Maine, ME, USA under the George J. Mitchell Peace Scholarship. She completed her MSc with the UN Environment GEMS/Water Capacity Development Centre, having been awarded a research scholarship by the UCC Centre for Global Development to support post-graduate research relating to the UN Sustainable Development Goal 6 on Clean Water and Sanitation.Lauren is currently working as Research Support Officer at the Cleaner Production Promotion Unit in UCC, which she joined in 2019.
