Research Profile

Pierce Ryan

Biography

Dr. Pierce Ryan received both his B.Sc. in Mathematical Sciences in 2018 and his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics in 2023 from University College Cork. Dr. Ryan is now a Postdoctoral Researcher on a project funded by the Enterprise Ireland Innovation Partnership Programme. His primary role on this project is to develop advanced machine learning algorithms for inventory management systems in emergency vehicles.

Research Interests

Dr. Ryan is broadly interested in applying dynamical system theory to real-world systems to enhance our understanding of how these systems work. In particular, Dr. Ryan's work centres on using dynamic and stochastic modelling of Internet-based technologies to optimise their efficiency. His main areas of expertise are in nonlinear dynamics and data science, and his primary research area is cybersecurity systems.
