Research Profile

BIOGRAPHY

My main research interests are in positive psychology and health psychology.

I have a Higher Diploma in Psychology (2010), a Joint Honours BA in English and History (1995), and an MA in Drama and Theatre Studies (1998), all at University College Cork. During the 10 years between the completion of my MA and returning to UCC in 2008 to begin the Higher Diploma in Psychology course,  I worked full-time as a print journalist.

I am currently undertaking a PhD in Applied Psychology, investigating the extent to which a range of relevant variables influence well-being in adolescents, and assessing the efficacy of several intervention programmes in enhancing levels of well-being in the target populations.
