Research Interests

·         Microfluidic systems design and fabrication for capillary electrophoresis based on C4D (Capacitively coupled contactless conductivity detection) technique

·         Detection of human tissues bioimpedance for differentiation between  cancerous and healthy tissues on silicon probes (breast cancer)

·         Fabrication of bioimpedance electrodes on the tip of commercially available needles to distinguish between different types of tissues (muscles, fat, blood vessels) and nerves for peripheral nerve block application

·         Supervision of PhD students (4) and master students (2)

·         Fabrication of electrodes for Electric Cell-substrate Impedance Spectroscopy (cytotoxicity monitoring) and electrochemical detection

·         Work Package 3.8 and 6 coordinator in "GIFT" Generic Integrated Forensic Toolbox for CBRN incidents, FP7-Security European project

·         Chemical Sensors development in "GIFT" Generic Integrated Forensic Toolbox for CBRN incidents, FP7-Security European project

·         Trainee in tissue culture laboratory (development of cell based biosensors)
