BIOGRAPHY
Research Interests
My research strategy immediately post PhD [1994+] was to maximise that effort and resulted in a number of Employment/SME-related publications and awards. From 1998 to 2004, I concentrated on the work of my PhD students, helping them to publish in leading journals in the broad International HRM field. Since becoming Director of the Executive MBA Programme in 2006, I have focused on integrating the personal, professional and organisational development domains in that re-structured programme and in my consulting and advisory work in leadership development.

2. "Becoming a leader by making experiences into experiencing: Towards an integration of personal, professional and organisational development"; March, 2005.
- Presentation to CLC, Helsinki, which led to many invitations to design and lead single- and multi-client development programmes in Ireland and Scandinavia.
3. "Educational Designs and the future for Executive MBA Programmes", at Minds at Work Workshop, Harvard University, 20 November 2003.
- Initial paper which subsequently led to Prof Bob Kegan of Harvard working with me to re-design the Executive MBA Programme at UCC.
The first article was selected as it is the most recent published example of novel PhD work with my students [John Mullins]. The second item relates to a powerful turning point in the applied nature of my research [CLC Helsinki]. The third was chosen because of its significant influence on the direction of new ideas in developmental psychology [Kegan].
