  - This was a collaborative project between the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health and the Department of Economics in UCC. The report describes the financial cost of healthy eating in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, and identifies the availability of healthy food options in a range of retail outlets. This study highlights inequalities in the underlying issues of affordability and accessibility to socially acceptable food choices both within and between the two jurisdictions on the island of Ireland. This has major implications for health and social policy.
