GeneralContext Cross, west face, top of shaft.
Location churchyard at Eyam.
Dimensions 8'3'' high, 20'' wide and 15'' thick tapering slightly. The arms are 3'3'' across.
GeneralDescription Cross, dated to eighth century.
GeneralDescription This is the west face of the cross. The lower part of the shaft has an interlace pattern.
GeneralDescription The next panel above the interlace may represent Christ in glory, or it is possibly one of the prophets (Hawkes).
GeneralDescription The panel at the top of the shaft may represent the Blessed Virgin Mary (Hawkes).
