GeneralContext Stone type: Medium-grained red sandstone.
Dimensions 117cm (46'') in height, 33.5cm to 28cm (13.2'' to 11'') in width, and 15cm to 12cm (6'' to 4.5'') in depth.
GeneralDescription Cross Shaft fragment, dated to the ninth century.
GeneralDescription This shaft is divided into three panels. The top panel has interlace and knots.
GeneralDescription The central panel is a runic inscription enclosed by a roll moulding.
GeneralDescription The lower panel has two frontal figures, whose heads are turned to face each other. There is a long shafted cross between them. The arm of the figure on the left is extended across the shaft and in front of the body of the figure on the right. The figure on the right appears to be leaning away from the other figure.
